Mrs. Josie Wardine Rockett Anderson, 62, of Goodman, MS; died Nov. 10, 1987, at her residence.

She was a native of Attala County, MS; a member of the Sandridge Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.

She is survived by her husband, L. D. Anderson; six daughters, Betty Jackson West, Nettie McLaurin of Chicago, IL; Bobbie Sias of Shelby, MS; Jessie Anderson, Helen Anderson of Clarksville, TN; and Prince Davis of West Germany; also four sons, J. C. Anderson of Durant, MS; Cleotha Anderson of Houston, MS; B. T. Anderson of Memphis, TN; and Charles Anderson of Clarksville, TN; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Knight of Jackson, MS; Callie B. Latiker of Thomastown, MS; four brothers, T. J. Rockett of Jackson, MS; Jonathan Rockett of New Orleans, LA; William Rockett and Nehemiah Rockett of Goodman, MS. She also leaves 18 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Goodman Baptist Church.
Burial in Hopewell Cemetery.
Rev. Ozell Landfair officiated.
Winters Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
