Ardis Jean Anderson, 93, a retired registered dietitian, of Las Vegas, passed away Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015. She was born Jan. 9, 1922, in Wheatland, Wyo., to Irl Faulkner and Hazel North Falkner and was a 52-year resident of Las Vegas. She was a graduate of the University of Wyoming, who began her dietetics career as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army during World War II. Jean then continued as a registered dietician in hospitals before accepting employing with the Clark County School District. She was a long-term employee with CCSD and retired in 1984. Jean was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, AAUW, PEO and Grace Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer "Andy" Anderson; and son, Steve Anderson. Jean is survived by her daughter, Joan Ehlen; granddaughter, Kate Beard; and grandson, Lincoln Beard. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Grace Presbyterian Church, 1515 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas
