Dorothy came to America from Sweden at the age of 13. For much of Dorothy's life she lived in Chicago and had lived in Dundee Twp. for the past 5 years. She was a member of the Svithiod Lodge #1 of Chicago.
Dorothy is survived by two sons, Ronald (Arlene) of Dundee Twp. with whom she made her home and Richard (Sharon) of Rochester, New York; six grandchildren, Dawn (Keith) Brill, Christine Robinson, Valerie (Robert) Dunham, Scott (Angelica) Ahlman, Dr. Diane (Dr. George Smith) Ahlman and John (Susan) Ahlman; great grandmother of 16; and one sister, Lilly Gustafson of Sweden.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur W. Ahlman on May 9, 1998 and ten brothers and sisters.
Memorial funeral services will be on Saturday, December 16, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church, 240 Standish St., Elgin. The Rev. Peter Boeve' will officiate.
Private family burial will be in the Acacia Park Cemetery, Chicago.
