She was a longtime volunteer for the downtown Norton Hospital in the gift shop for many years and was a former member of the Graymoor-Devondale City Council. Allyne learned to ice skate in mid life and enjoyed spending time at the Gardiner Lane Ice Skating Rink, now known as Alpine. She competed with the Mom's on Ice Group and in individual competitions.
Allyne was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Anderson whom she wed on September 20, 1947.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Her service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Friday.
