Mayfield, Ky — Mr. Cecil Alvie Anderson, age 96, of Mayfield went to be with the Lord Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at 7:30 P.M.

He was a member of the Seven Oaks Church of Christ, Owner and Operator of Anderson's in Mayfield for 53 years, Farmer and Retired Lieutenant Colonel Army Reserves.

He is survived by 3 sons, John (Peggy) Anderson of Mayfield, Hal (Pat) Anderson of Mayfield and Dick (Maureen) Anderson of Alpharetta, GA.; 4 sisters, Jean Carolyn Simmons of Murray, St. L Kotler of Las Vegas, NV., Bruton Wood of Paducah and Elwanda Cox of FL.; and 7 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Dean Anderson; his parents, Lewis and Bessie McClain Anderson; his stepmother, Beatrice Gordon Anderson; 2 sisters, Louella Shelby and Geraldine Metz; and 1 brother, Louis Anderson Jr.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at 1:00 P.M. at the Highland Park Mausoleums, Brother Josh Ketchum will officiate.

Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. on Tuesday at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield.

Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by Mayfield American Legion Post #26.
