Chris was born in Chicago, IL on July 16, 1928, to Carl Albert Sr. and Frances (Fitch) Anderson.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 55 years, Nancy Lou (Jones) Anderson, his sisters, Dorothy, Mickey and Rosemary and his grandson, Christopher Anderson.
Chris is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Anderson of Albuquerque, NM and Kathleen Brubaker of West Union, IA, his grandchildren, Cheri (Lyle) Rasmussen of Sahuarita, AZ, Erin (Anthony Hibbing) Brubaker of Lincoln, NE and Matthew (Anna) Brubaker of West Union, IA and his great-grandchildren, Connie, Kristen, Jonathan and Taya.
Chris was a concert pianist in his youth and attended DePaul Catholic School in Chicago, IL receiving his high school diploma.
Chris went on to serve eight years in the United States Navy, participating in World War II and the Korean Conflict. Chris was rewarded the Purple Heart. Chris later worked at and co-owned Jones Opticians for 40 years.
Chris was an excellent carpenter, building a cabin in Red River and completely transforming his Corrales home. Chris was a member of the Masons and Shriners associations. Chris also served as a volunteer fireman for the Village of Corrales.
Chris will be remembered as a devoted husband and loving father.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
