J. A. Dillabough (sic) and W. Dee Jones brought the body of Albert Anderson into Luning from Atwood this week. Anderson was found dead in the tunnel of the Wagner-Azurite company, having been overcome by the powder gas. The death having occurred at Atwood in Nye county, Coroner Atkinson, of Tonopah, accompanied by Assistant State Mine Inspector J. W. Gaughen of Goldfield, came up Thursday to Luning, where the inquest was held. Death was accidental, and the management of the mine blameless, as Superintendent Dillabough had warned Anderson against entering the tunnel so soon after the shots were fired. Anderson's remains were buried at Luning. (Western Nevada Miner, 5/27/1911)
