Beulah Mae Andrews, 85, of Crapo passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 at UMSMC at Dorchester.
Born February 12, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Beulah Creighton LeCompte and Nicholas Aaron. She attended the local schools on Hoopers Island and afterwards went to live in Baltimore for about six years. After returning to the South Dorchester area she married her husband George on August 15, 1955. They were blessed with over 59 years of marriage.
Beulah was a loving housewife. Besides her family she enjoyed puzzles, she was an avid reader and loved gospel music. She would often reflect of her fond memories growing up on Hoopers Island. When her health was better she attended Wesley Chapel Church.
Surviving besides her husband are children Debbi Dodson and husband Herb, George Andrews, Jr. and wife Teri, David Andrews and wife Terri, William Andrews, Chris Andrews and companion Tracy Wilson; grandchildren Wayne Andrews, James Andrews, Angel Andrews, Brian Andrews, Jodi Jackson, Cody Foxwell and Duane Dodson; special friends Steve Hoefer, Julie Bozman, Andy and Martha Willey.
Preceding her in death besides her parents was her step-father Otis LeCompte; sisters Violet Baltier, Emily Willis, Norma Sacker and brothers Sheldon Aaron, Orland Aaron, David Aaron and Wayne Aaron.
A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2014 beginning 1:00 p.m. at Dorchester Memorial Park, Cambridge. Officiating will be Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Wesley Chapel Church, P.O. Box 911, Cambridge MD 21613 or The United People's Church, 4186 Osborne Road, Hurlock, MD 21643.
