Wife of Ralph R. Adkins.

Mrs. Margaret A. Adkins, wife of the late Ralph R. Adkins, formerly of 709 Church St., died at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday in Dorchester General Hospital.

She was 68, being born in Cambridge, Mar. 7, 1909, the daughter of the late Ivy A. and Daisy Robbins Andrews.

She was a lifelong resident of Cambridge, where she graduated from the Cambridge High School.

She was married to Mr. Adkins in 1953 and they made their home at 501 Maryland Ave., at the corner of Dorchester Ave. Mr. Adkins passed away on Dec. 14, 1959, and more recently she resided at 709 Church St. She had been in failing health for two years, and had been at the Cambridge House since it opened in December of 1975. She had been a patient at the hospital for several weeks where her death occurred on Tuesday morning.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Surviving are one uncle, Fred Robbins, of Cambridge, and several cousins. A brother, Ivy A. Andrews Jr., passed away July 14, 1968.

Funeral services will be held at the Thomas Funeral Home on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Everett Isaacs officiating. Interment will follow in the family burial plot in Christ Churchyard.

Friends will be received by the family at the funeral home during the one hour preceding the funeral service.
