John Aaron Andrews, 81, was found dead in bed Sunday morning at his home in Stockbridge town. He had evidently passed away shortly before his son, Roger, went ot wake him.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church, Stockbridge. Interment was in the family lot at the Portland cemetery, Brant. Rev. L.F. Green officiated at the services.
Born March 12, 1863, at Cheddar, England, he came to America at the age of 19. During his first years in this country he was employed at the late Thomas Weeds farm and later operated a farm of his own in Stockbridge town.
In 1891 he married Miss Victoria Allen of Charlestown who preceded him in death three weeks ago.
Survivors are two sons, Trubert and Roger of Stockbridge town; 8 grandchildren; one sister and a brother in England. A daughter, Mrs. John Duhm, Black Creek, passed away last week and Mrs. Andrews was able to attend the funeral rites for her on Saturday.
