Marybeth McGuire Andrus, age 32, loving wife of Eric, loving daughter of John and the late Irene McGuire, devoted sister to Brian, step-daughter of Rita Barbieri McGuire and step-sister to Jim Barbieri and Christine Barbieri Kassas, died peacefully on July 3rd surrounded by friends and family. Marybeth, a middle school special education teacher, leaves behind a legacy of services to others as a Pioneer League coach and senior class advisor at The Tarrytown Union Free School District. Marybeth had a Masters Degree in Special Education. She was a loving aunt to Simone, Dea, Caroline, Patrick and Joseph. But most of all she will be remembered by her husband Eric as a loving and devoted wife and his best friend. There will be a Funeral Mass on Friday at 10 AM at Holy Name of Mary Church, Croton. Friends may call on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9. Burial is in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen For the Cures Fund, which does research for breast cancer treatment.
