Eddie Angel Adams was born Dec. 19, 1916, in Bedford County, Va. She died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001.
She moved to Williamsburg in 1935. From the early 1940s through the mid-1960s, she was associated with Greyhound Bus Lines in Williamsburg. In the mid-1960s, she began working for the Department of the Army in Arlington, Va. Her longest and last assignment was at the Pentagon Travel Office, from which she retired in 1985. In 1991, she moved back to Williamsburg.
A daughter, Carey Jean Adams Robertson, and her husband, James H. Robertson Jr., survive Mrs. Adams. She is also survived by a brother, Paul B. Angel of Williamsburg; two grandsons, Lance S. Robertson and his wife, Beth, of Fairfax City, Va., and Chad A. Robertson and his wife, Teri, of Pittsboro, N.C.; and three great- grandchildren, Sara Kate, James Henry IV and Emma Jane. Nieces, Paula Dazley, Shiela Nixon, Anita Samuel, all of Williamsburg, and Brenda McNeal of California; and a nephew, James Angel of Richmond, also survive Mrs. Adams.
Her former husband, William C. Adams, her parents, James and Mazora Angel, and a brother, Hollis, preceded her in death.
Services for Mrs. Adams will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at St. Bede Catholic Church with burial to follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park.
