Husband of Mary Catherine Ankers, of 54, Rawson Rd., Seaforth, Liverpool.

Pilot Ankers was serving on board the Liverpool Pilot Boat, S.S. "Alfred H. Read" when it hit an enemy mine in Liverpool Bay during WWI. He was 1 of 39 crewmen who died in the disaster, there were only two survivors.
