Mrs. George Ankers
Dies of Pneumonia
Illness Fatal
To Woman, 67
Mrs, Alice Isabel Broas Ankers,
67, wife of George Ankers of 39
Lent street, died at her home this
morning after an illness of seven
days with pneumonia, Mrs, Ankers,
who was a lifelong resident of this
city, was the daughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. John P. Broas. She
attended local schools and had been
actively Interested in the activities
of St. Paul's church for a number
of years.
Surviving In addition to her hus-
band are two sons, Percival F.
Ankers of Great Neck and Raymond
G. Ankers of West Englewood, N, J,;
a brother, Homer Broas of Wash-
ington, D, C., formerly of this city;
and four grandchildren.
Funeral services, will be conducted
at the home at 2 o'clock Monday af-
ternoon, with the Rev. Roland J.
Bunten and the Rev. Francis B,
Whitcome officiating. Burial will be
in the Poughkeepsie Rural cemetery,
under the direction of A. A. Schoon-
maker.
