Mrs. Laura A. Alpaugh, 90 years old, widow of Oliver alpaugh, died Monday, Dec. 27, 1943 in the home of her granddaughter and family, Mrs. Charles R. Alpaugh, at Larger Cross Roads, where she resided. Mrs. Alpaugh had fractured her leg in a fall about a week ago.
Born on a farm in Cokesbury, Mrs. Alpaugh was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John M. Apgar. She lived practially all her life in the Cokesbury vicinity. She was a long-time mbmer of the Cokesbury Methodist Church and formerly for many years was an active worker in all the church organizations. Her husband died many years ago.
Surviving are three sons, H. Manchus Alpaugh of Manlius, Ill, William P. Alpaugh of Califon, and Harry Alpaugh of Lebanon; also two sisters, Mrs. Isaac Hoffman of Califon and Mrs. Richard Philhower of Hoffmans; also several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren survive.
Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p. m. at the Cokesbury Methodist Church. The Rev. George C. Harrison, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery at Cokesbury.
Friends called at the Brokaw Funeral Home, Lebanon, last evening.
