Funeral services for Beulah Alta Applegate, longtime Mannford area resident, were held Sunday at Mannford Assembly of God Church with Rev. Don Couch officiating. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service. She died on June 3, 1982 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was born on June 25, 1895 in Marble, Arkansas and married Ray Elsworth Applegate on September 7, 1913. The couple moved to the Mannford area in 1934. He died on October 10, 1974. She is survived by her daughters, Faye Osborn and Wanda Maxine Colberg, both of Mannford; Myrtle Ellen Guilfoil of Eskridge, Kansas, and Vella Claudine West of Berryville, Arkansas; her sons, Chester Boyd Applegate and Lester Clell Applegate, both of Mannford, Joe Clifford Applegate and Lonnie Dale "Skeet" Applegate, both of Tulsa, and Kenneth Glen Applegate of Sapulpa; her brother, Jessey Noble Smith of Mannford; twenty five grandchildren; thirty four great-grandchildren; and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.
