Mrs. Archer was a woman of high ideals and noble character and her early death is a great shock to her many friends. She leaves beside her husband to mourn her sudden demise, four children, Louis C., Earl A., Gerald L., and Ruth I. Archer, all of Rome. Simple prayer service for her was held from her late home at 2 p.m. Monday and the remains were brought to this village Tuesday and taken to the home of Clinton L. Jacques, Stewart street, where the funeral was held Wednesday at 12 o'clock, Rev. C.C. Frost, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Interment was made in the East Road cemetery. Of her immediate family she leaves an aged father and three brothers, Frank M. Courts, W.J. Courts, of Oakland, Cal., Claude P. Courts, of Utica, and Mrs. Clinton L. Jacques, of this village.
