Giacomo Armetta, 80, of 2506 Eighth-and-a-half avenue, Rock Island, a resident of Rock Island for 40 years, died at 4:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon in Mercy Hospital, Davenport, following a 2-week illness.
Mr. Armetta was born July 22, 1872, in Palermo, Italy, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Antonio Armetta. He married Rosaria Amato, Oct. 4, 1912, in Palermo. The couple came to America and Rock Island 40 years ago.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 8:45 o'clock in the family home and at 9:15 o'clock in Sacred Heart Catholic church. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
