Mrs. Jeronia Anthony, 95, of Parkdale, died Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village. Mrs. Anthony was a native of Alabama and a resident of Parkdale for over 80 years. She was a retired farmer and a member of the Union Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Anthony in 1961; her parents, Charlie & Altha Adams Armistead; two brothers, Johnny Armistead and Frank Armistead and five sisters, Gustavia Windom, Cora Mae Burse, Bertha Williams, Francis Cobb and Ruth Blakeley.

She is survived by a special nephew, Robert Echols of San Jose, California; two nephews, Sammy Cobb of Hamburg and Isaiah Burse of Pine Bluff; a niece, Mary Lee Westbrook of Oakland, California; a sister, Pauline Vine of Crossett and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services are 3 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Union Baptist Church with Rev. Jesse Knight officiating. Burial will be in the Childress Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers are Willie Williams, Dan Smith, A.C. Campbell, Jesse Packer, Roy Carter and Jay Russell. Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of Union Baptist Church.
