Annie (Morrison) Arms, 98 passed away on June 29, 2008 at Royal Oaks Manor, a resident there for 14 years.

Annie was born in Dill city, Oklahoma January 6, 1910, the second child of William and Josie Morrison. The family moved to California in November, 1918. After 3 years in Imperial Valley, they settled in Ontario, California. Annie attended the elementary school in Ontario then attended 4 years at the Chaffey Union High School and 1 year at Chaffey Junior College. In the summer of 1928, she moved to Pasadena to attend Pasadena college. She received her AB degree in 1931 and later receiving a MA degree from University of Southern California. She married Rockwell L. Scharer in June, 1932. Their son, Rockwell Leroy Scharer, Jr. was born in December, 1933. She married Monroe Scott Arms in January, 1954. He passed away in 1985. Annie started attending a new Nazarene church in Dill City, Oklahoma, before moving to Calif. There, she attended the Holtville Church of the Nazarene and in 1921, Ontario Church of the Nazarene, and Pasadena 1st Church from 1939 to the present. She gave her heart to the Lord as a small child and in Ontario at the age of 13 committed herself to follow Christ and accepted Him as her Savior. Annie served Pasadena 1st Church in many areas. Supt. Or Supervisor of every dept. of the Sunday School, member of the Ed Council 30 years, Secretary on Church Board for 8-9 years, Member and Secretary of Bldg. Committee for Sunrise Campus, 8 years. Both Monroe and Annie helped with details of the Work & Witness team to Swaziland, and traveled with the Christian Minstrels for 4 summers. In 1984, ARMS HALL at Pasadena 1st Church was dedicated to Monroe and Annie in their honor. She was Organizational Chairman and 1st President of Pasadena College/Point Loma Nazarene College Women's Auxiliary 1967-71 and a member of the Exec. Committee until 1984. Annie served the La Canada School district from 1942-1967. After teaching 7-1/2 yea rs, she went into Administration and was Principal of Paradise Canyon 10 years, Oak Grove School 2 years and then worked part time for both schools for two years. Her life was centered in her Church and family.

She is survived by one son, Rockwell Scharer Jr. of Scottsdale, AZ, two stepdaughters, Wilma Clark of San Gabriel, CA and Rosalie Judd of Phoenix, AZ, and a step-son, Willis Arms of Calimesa, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and a host of friends.

A graveside service will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, California on Saturday July 5th at 3:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at Pasadena 1st Church of the Nazerene, Sierra Madre, CA. on Sunday July 6th at approx. 2:30 PM.
