She passed away October 9, 2017, in Longview, Gregg County, Texas.

She married James Watson "Jimmy" Armstrong 25 Aug 1951 in Marshall, Harrison County, Texas.

She had three children: Johnny Ray Armstrong; Martha Gail Armstrong (married George Booher) & Judy Ann Armstrong (married Michael Jay Stafford).

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Johnny Ray.

Services for Mary Frances Armstrong will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2017 at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Ore City. Burial will follow at Ore City Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral I Home in Ore City. There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Ms. Armstrong was born March 26, 1929 and passed away October 9, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Watson Armstrong; son, Johnny Armstrong; sisters, Merlene Bingham, Nannie Jones, Patricia Cook; and brothers, Winfred Cook and Grady Cook.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and George Booher, Judy and Mike Stafford; five grandchildren, Jeremy Armstrong, Jodi Morken, Lori Avery, Nicholas Stafford, and Jesse Stafford; six great-grandchildren, Dakota Looney, David Avery, Avery Stafford, Daniel Armstrong, Raygan Stafford, and Nash Stafford; brother, Valta Cook; and sisters, Onita Campbell, Mildred McAlister, and Fama Patrick.
