She was a homemaker. Through the Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service program, she served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. She was a member of a bridge club for 50 years. She was also a member of American Legion Carl Neff Post 571.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Abt; and two sisters, Doris Berniece Turpen and Mildred Jerrels (d 4/29/1994 age 72).
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Lunger and her husband, Douglas, of Waterford; two sons, Michael Abt and his wife, Susan, of Erie and Stephen Abt and his wife, Linda, of Harborcreek Township; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Burial, with military honors, will be at Lakeside Cemetery.
