Vere married Margaret 'June' (Arnold) Ash on April 1, 1947 in Van Buren, IN. Mr. Ash was a lifelong Warren resident. He attended the Warren School. He was a Self Employed Well Drilling Contractor for Water and Oil wells and also worked as a welder. He was a member of the Scottish Rite of Ft. Wayne, IN, the Mt. Etna Masonic Lodge #333 F&A.M., and the Brown-Doyle American Legion post in Van Buren, IN. Vere was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the European Theatre durring WWII.

Stults of Huntington, IN. Sister-Monna Perkey of Antioch, Calif. One Grandchild, 2 Great Grandchildren, 7 Step Grandchildren and Several Step Great Grandchildren.
