Mrs. Ashley was 71 years old when she died at the home of her daughter in New Jersey. She was the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Nathan Goldsmith of Athens, NY. and the wife of Prof. Edwin Ashley. She was survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bertha Searle and Mrs. Thomas Salmon of Staten Island, a sister, Mrs. Timothy Seller of Montcalir N. J. and Charles Goldsmith of Rutherford, NJ.
