BETTY J. ASHMORE, 47, of Memphis, died Wednesday at Methodist Hospital after a stroke. Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at M. J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home with burial in Hollywood Cemetery. She was a member of Christ House of Prayer Holiness Church.
Mrs. Ashmore, the wife of Prophet Robert Ashmore, also leaves two daughters, Tamera Webster and Tremaine Ashmore, both of Memphis; her mother, Rosie Lee Johnson of Magnolia, Miss.; eight sisters, Donna Johnson and Trina Craft, both of McComb, Miss., Beatrice Johnson, Hatti Fuches and Amy Johnson, all of Magnolia, Barbara Jones of Jackson, Miss., and Lynette Nichols and Lavern Gordon, both of Chicago; a brother, Tommy Johnson of Memphis, and two grandsons.
