Betty Joyce Rowe Ashworth, 77, of Ethridge, TN, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at NHC Healthcare of Scott in Lawrenceburg, TN. She was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene and a native of Lawrence Co., TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Verbon Lee and Lena Stephenson Rowe and two brothers, T. R. Rowe and Bobby Rowe.
She is survived by her husband, Hugh Ashworth, of Ethridge, TN. One daughter, Jan Winters of Summertown, TN. Two sons, Jeff Ashworth of Daingerfield, TX and Scott Ashworth of Pella, Iowa. One sister, Faye Morrow of Lawrenceburg, TN. One brother, Jimmy Rowe of Ethridge, TN. Seven grandchildren and Three great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Sun., Aug. 24, 2008, with Joel Daniel and Chris Littrell officiating. Interment followed at John Lay Cemetery in Ethridge, TN.
