Henry Aspinwall, 80, Dies at Home Here
Henry Lloyd Aspinwall, 80, a grandson of the late William H. Aspinwall, of New York, leading merchant of the middle 1800s whose clipper ships were famous in ports all over the world, died today after a brief illness at his home, 1805 Nineteenth street, N. W.
Born in New York, he was the son of the late Rev. John Abel Aspinwall, first rector of St. Thomas Episcopal Church here. He was educated in private schools in Philadelphia and Washington and for several years lived abroad, in England, France and Italy.
He and his wife, the late Mrs. Susan Thompkins Aspinwall, came to Washington soon before the World War and made their home at 1314 Eighteenth street N. W.
Mr. Aspinwall is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ann Wooley [Woolsey], New York, and three brothers, Henry Citus [Titus] and John Abel Aspinwall, both of New York, and Woolsey Aspinwall, Seattle, Wash.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at St. Thomas Church. Burial will be in the family lot in Greenwood Cemetery, New York.
