Westville Observe Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Aspinwall held "open house" September 5 from 3 to 6 in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Miss Alice Moore and Glenn Aspinwall were married at the bride's home in Westville, by their former pastor, the Rev. T.F. Dwyer. They have one son, Charles Aspinwall and two grandchildren of Mexico.
There were 65 present at the reception. Many lovely cards and gifts were received. Those present from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Aspinwall, son, Wesley and daughter, Alma Jane of mexico; Mrs. Myron Shaw, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Shaw and three children of Springfield, Mass.; Miss Leta Murdock and Mrs. Lewis MacNell of Schenectady; Mr. and Mrs. Dorr Putnam of Fly Creek; Mrs. Mildred Marks of South Valley; Paul Aspinwall, Oneonta; Louis Moore of Milford; Mrs. Warren Holden and Mrs. Norman Holden, Fly Creek; Mrs. Franklin Harmon, daighters, Becky and joy, Hartwick; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Johnson and daughter, Frances of Worcester; Douglas Rovinson of Johnstown; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Rovinson and family, Johnstown; Mr. and Mrs. Carol Hood of Edmeston, and Fred Palmer, Garrattsville.

Mrs. Alice Aspinwall

Cooperstown --- Mrs. Alice M. Aspinwall, 80, of Westville and Mexico died Friday unexpectedly at their Westville residence.
Born on January 2, 1895, in the town of Milford the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Murcock) Moore, she was married to Glenn M. Aspinwall, Sept. 2, 1915. He died January 3, 1975. She was a member of the former Westville Baptist Church for many years and was currently a member of the Primative Baptist Church of Justice, Pa.
Mrs. Aspinwall was a teacher for several years in Westville area schools and was also employed for many years as a nurses' aide in Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, retiring about 18 years ago.
Surviving are a son, Charles Aspinwall of Mexico, with who she had resided for the past four years; two grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Services were at 2 p.m. today from the Ingalls, Connell, and Dow Funeral Home, Cooperstown, with Elder Troy Edwards, pastor of the Primative Baptist Church, Justice, Pa., officiating. Burial was in the Westville Cemetery.
