Nina's parents Cornelius K Sutton died 4 Feb 1875 and Clara B. Sutton died 9 Jan 1887. Clara B. Sutton was the daughter of Dudley S. Gregory.
In an obituary notice concerning a lady prominent in New York society the New York Herald said a few days ago: "Mrs. Aspinwall was Miss Nina Sutton, and came of a family notable for the beauty and attractiveness of its women. She was not more than thirty-five years of age. Her sisters who survive her a Mrs. Ely Goddard, Mrs. Goodwin and Mrs. Crosby, all equally charming with the deceased." This handsome tribute to the attractions of the surviving sisters- "all equally charming with the deceased" - may be correct metropolitan newspaper form but it is shocking bad taste.
