Brenda Glen Pryor Atkins, age 73 of Eden passed away early Saturday morning at Morehead Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service will be held Monday at First Baptist Church with burial to follow at Dan River Church Cemetery.
Brenda was born December 21, 1941 in Danville, VA. to the late William Leonard Pryor, Sr. and Catherine Shelton Pryor. She was a graduate of Ruffin High School Class of 1959. She attended Stratford College and later graduated from UNC Chapel Hill. She retired from Rockingham County Schools as an educator.
Surviving are husband, Mark Atkins; daughters, Catherine Massengale and Caroline Baird; two grandchildren; brother, William Leonard "W.L." Pryor, Jr.
