OBITUARY
Warren Atkinson, 83, of South Charleston died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006, at home after a long illness. He was a retired millwright from Union Carbide with 45 years of service and a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene, South Charleston. Warren served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Freddie Atkinson; and a son, Ricky Atkinson. Surviving: daughter, Suetta Bowers of Dunbar; brother, Jack Atkinson of Spring Hill; sisters, Opal Cobbs of South Charleston, June Fox of Indiana, Juanda Arnett of South Carolina and Billie Stanley of Ohio; grandchildren, Krissa, Josh, Kassy, Karen and Katie; and seven great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Good Shepherd Mortuary, South Charleston, with the Rev. Chuck Goddard officiating. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
