LILIANE ATWILL 1922-2006
Liliane Atwill, resident of Ridgecrest Healthcare since 2002, passed away Tuesday Aug. 22, 2006 at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital. She was 84. She was born in France in 1922 to her father Adrien Atwill and mother nee Jeanne Mamet.
Adrien Atwill brought his family back to his native United States at the outbreak of World War II and settled in California. For some years before her marriage Liliane was employed at the French consulate in Los Angeles.
She leaves her daughter Michele Martorell of Madrid, Spain, sister Monique Atwill of Blois, France and husband John S. Monahan of Ridgecrest. Liliane is also survived by her grandchildren Jaume and christina Martorell of Madrid, Spain, cousins Robert Atwill and Elizabeth Myrick of Santa Monida, John P. Monahan of Ridgecrest, Stephen G. Monahan of Billings, Mont. and Philip M. Monahan of Phoenix, Ariz.
Funeral ceremonies are scheduled for Thursday Aug 31 at 9 am at St. Ann Catholic Church.
