Printed in The Cohoes American, Saturday evening, June 12, 1926:
One young woman was killed and two others were hurt at the Newark and Remsen streets crossing of the Delaware and Hudson Railroad last night when a light engine from the Colonie yards, en route to Whitehall, crashed into the rear of an automobile in which the party was riding. The accident happened about 11:15 o'clock. While there are gates at the crossing, it is unguarded by a gateman after 10 p.m. nightly.

Dead was Miss Dora Auger, 34, of 193 Saratoga street. Injured were Miss Josephine Auger, 25 and Miss Eva Auger, 28, of the same address, sisters of the dead young woman. Miss Dora Auger, who was driving the machine, died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.

Miss Dora Auger had been employed at W. H. Frear Company department store in Troy, where she was a buyer for the art department. She was also active in the affairs at St. Joseph's Church, Cohoes. The parents of the girls are dead. They made their home with a brother George Auger, their only relative.

The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 8:30 o'clock from the residence, 193 Saratoga street, and at 9 o'clock from St. Joseph's Church where a solemn high mass of requiem will be celebrated. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford.
