JAMES DAVIS AUGUST (Age 73)
Of Arlington, VA died peacefully on November 16, 2013 after a long battle with bone cancer.
He was the beloved husband of Susan Hurley August, father of Gregory and of the late Jeffrey (Lisa), and grandfather of James Dyer August. Jim is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Ann Olack (Roger) of Reno NV and Cynthia A. Philbrick (Kendl) of Williamsburg, VA, and was predeceased by his sister
Nancy C. August. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and a grand- nephew. Jim will be lovingly remembered by countless relatives and friends, whose lives he impacted and enriched.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 19 at Murphy's Funeral Home, Arlington, from 4 to 8 p.m. Jim's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 20 at 11 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 5300 N. 10th St., Arlington, with a reception to follow at the Church. A private burial service, at Columbia Gardens will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gonzaga College High School, or Capital Caring Hospice or a charity of your choice .
