Frances V. Arnold, age 92, of 1411 Lake Shore Drive East, Ashland, passed away Friday, July 30, 2004 at her residence. Frances was born Sept. 23, 1911 in Moquah, the daughter of John and Annie (Mitarsky) Augustine. She was a homemaker and worked at an A&P Supermarket in Detroit, Mich. until retiring, when she returned to the Moquah/Ashland area.
Surviving are her son, Robert (Dottie) of Lansdowne, Penn.; granddaughter, Natelie (Bill) Blais; brother, Stanley (Katie) Augustine of Moquah; sisters, Mary (Earl) Smith of Howel, Mich. and Margaret Kopytko of Melford, Mich.; a very special friend, Lilly Kayewski of Ashland; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Anna; and brother, John.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Moquah with Father Michael Crisp as celebrant.
Interment will take place in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Moquah.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the church and continue until the hour of service.
The Mountain Funeral Home, Ashland and Mellen, is assisting the family with arrangements.
