Albert was a flight qualified Observation/Scout Helicopter Repairer assigned A Troop, 2nd Squadron, 17th Cavalry, 101st Airborne Division, USARV. He died when the helicopter he was on crashed.
Awarded the Bronze Star Medal and Purple Heart.
