Walter Leslie Avis, 90, of Charleston died Wednesday, March 23, 1994, in CAMC, General Division, after a long illness.
He was born in Taunton, England, and was a 71-year resident of Kanawha County.
He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church.
Surviving: wife, Beatrice Hammons Avis; daughter, Mary Margaret O'Connor of Charleston; granddaughter, Leslie O'Connor of Union Springs, N.Y.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Wilson Funeral Home, Charleston, with Dr. William Kirkland officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston. There will be no visitation.
