Alvah William Ayres died at his home in Wood River, Illinois. He was the son of Andrew Clement and Edna (Howard) Ayres. He married the former Peggy Holstein Dec. 27, 1943 in Casper, Wyoming. Mr. Ayres is survived by his wife; a son, Dr. Robert Ayres of Edwardsville, Ill.; a daughter, Kathleen Konopka of Maringo, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Ida May Carmin of Douglas, Wyoming.
