Surviving are her husband; one son, James (Diana) Ayres Jr.; two daughters, Kathleen (Andrew) Bell and Jeannie (Frank) Kaps; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ned (Claudia) Jacobson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Althea was a nurse's aide on the surgical floor of Proctor Hospital for 17 years. She also worked for Shamrock Plastics for 10 years and Cliffton & Gunderson for 10 years before retiring.
