The Oklahoman, Sunday, March 15, 1942: Mrs Lavina Aiken, 62, died Thursday in Wilburton. She was born in Fulton Co, IL, and came to Oklahoma City in 1920. She later moved to the United Spanish American War Veterans colony south of Wilburton, where she was living at the time of her death. She was active in the Christian church and the women's auxiliary at the colony. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs Homer (Gladys) Land, 1602 NW 42 St. Services will be in the Garrison Funeral Home at 10 am Monday with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
