Beloit, Wis., Feb. 4. - Mrs. Julius M. Farnsworth died Sunday morning at 7 o'clock from heart failure. She had long been afflicted with organic heart trouble, but was in comparatively good health until her final illness, which was of two weeks' duration. Mrs. Farnsworth was a daughter of ex-Congressman Clinton Babbitt, and was born and brought up in this city. She was a graduate of the high school and served four years as assistant in the post office while her father was postmaster. She is the second daughter to pass away inside of six months, the other being Mrs. Whiteclaw of Ashland. Mrs. Farnsworth was 40 years of age and is survived by her husband and one son. She was married to Mr. Farnsworth nine years ago, when he was engaged in business in Chicago and was his second wife. (Daily Register-Gazette [Rockford, Illinois] Monday, February 4, 1901, Page 4.)
