Jessie was born in Forest Park, IL, the daughter of W.A. and Jane (Dugger) Babcock). She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School. Jessie married Chester E. Arnold on September 30, 1932. They farmed for many years in Rock County, retiring from farming in 1966. Chester died in 1976. Mrs. Arnold worked for La Prairie Mutual Insurance Company as secretary and treasurer until retiring in 1982. She is survived by 2 sons and their wives; a daughter and her husband; a daughter-in-law; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother; and a sister. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Arnold; a grandson, Steven Arnold; and 2 brothers, John and Fred Babcock.
