Funeral services for Mrs. Alvena Anna Baer, 59, wife of John P. Baer, 101 E street, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 at the Giese and Kimball funeral home. She died at her home 11:45 Saturday night.

The body may be viewed at the Giese and Kimball chapel this evening and until time for the rites. The Rev. Mark L. Marshall will officiate and burial will be in Pine Lake cemetery.

Mrs. Baer was born here May 22, 1883, the daughter of John and Augusta Maack Meinke, and had lived in LaPorte her entire life. She was married June 19, 1902, to Mr. Baer. Mrs. Baer was a member of the Presbyterian church and of the LaPorte chapter 280, O. E. S., and the Ladies Templars.

Surviving are her husband; two brothers, Wiliam C. Meinke and Edward H. Meinke, both of LaPorte; one sister, Mrs. Walter F. Hauschild, LaPorte; three nieces, Mrs. Richard Johnson and Mrs. George Kennedy, both of LaPorte; Mrs. Everett Young, Lafayette, Ind.; three nephews, William Hauschild, Baltimore; Corp. Gerald Baer, U. S. Army, Los Angeles; Staff Sgt. Wallace Hauschild, Newport News, Va. Her daughter, Janis Marguerite Baer, died March 13, 1926. A sister, Mrs. Ernest Hoover, died June 29, 1939.

Mrs. Baer's father, John Meinke, died in 1918 and her mother died in 1937.
