Mrs. Alice (Brindle) Baer, 85, of Dayton, died in her home at 4 p. m. Friday after an illness of one week.

Born in Dayton, she was a lifelong resident of the community and was a member of the Dayton Methodist church. She was a charter member of the Dayton Home Demonstration club.

In 1892 she married Nevin Baer.

Surviving with the husband are a son, Floyd Baer, of Maywood, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. William Kemper, of Lafayette route 6, and one sister, Miss Lulu Brindle of Dayton. Also surviving are four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held Sunday afternoon at the Baker Funeral Home in Dayton with the Rev. H. Earl Moore and the Rev. Paul Bruce officiating. Burial was in the Dayton cemetery.
