June Lundgren Bagley, 72, returned to her Father in Heaven Thursday, November 6, 1997 after sudden cardiac arrest. She died in Salt Lake City, Utah.
June was born on a snowy morning June 14, 1925 to Agnes Lavin Lundgren and Axel Herman Lundgren in Salt Lake City. She graduated from South High School in 1942 and attended the University of Utah. She maintained close friendships from her high school days throughout her life. She married Gerald Hawley Bagley on April 1, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. Her greatest work was as a wife, mother and grandmother. She was a creative seamstress and gardener. She made her home a haven of hospitality and love. She served in every organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony of the gospel. She trained her children in righteousness. She served as a docent at the Beehive House, the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and the Church Office Building.She is survived by: her husband Gerald Hawley Bagley, her four children, Martha Ann Halverson (Dee), Thomas Gerald Bagley (Julie), Paula Jean DeSpain (James), Jolyn Mullin (Thomas), and a foster daughter, Margie McCabe Ellsbury. She has 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother and five sisters: Lillian Gray, Allen H. Lundgren (Ruth), Rose Hansen (Don), Virginia Cross Bierman, Berniece Heinz (Walt), Carol Mayfield (Robert), and many other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, November 10, 1997 at the Salt Lake Cottonwood Stake Center, 1830 East 6400 South. Friends may call at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and on Monday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. at the stake center prior to services.
Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
