Obituary - Lynne Bagley Brimley was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 16, 1936 to John Alan Bagley and Phoebus Snarr Bagley, who both preceded her in death. She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family and friends on June 14, 2000.

During childhood, her family relocated to Los Angeles, California where she was raised and met her lifetime partner, Wilford Brimley. They were wed in Los Angeles on July 6, 1956. The couple was blessed with four sons: James Charles of Salt Lake City, John Michael of Lehi, William Carmen of American Fork and Lawrence Snarr, who preceded her in death.

In 1972, the family moved from Los Angeles back to Utah. Lynne enjoyed life thoroughly and was an avid skier and Utah Jazz fan. She took great pride in her home and family and was very involved in community service. Lynne and her family actively supported The Salt Lake Diabetes Health Center, The Guadalupe Early Learning Center, The Utah Kidney Foundation, Primary Children's Hospital, the Utah Chapter for the Prevention of Child Abuse and many others. She was also a big believer in always buying whatever neighborhood children were trying to sell out of sidewalk stands; everything from pedicures to lemonade.

Her grandchildren were always a source of enjoyment and laughter and she was blessed with seven of them: William Austin, Jacob Taylor, John Michael, Jr., Samantha, Danielle Lynne, Daniel Jack and Jessica Ann. She was extremely close to and is survived by her stepmother, Lois Jex Bagley; her half brother, John Craig Bagley and half sister, Susan Elizabeth Bagley, all of Los Angeles. She was preceded in death by her idol and older brother, Lawrence Dean Bagley, also of Los Angeles.

Lynne was quick to smile and all that knew her fell instantly in love with her and they knew she loved them back. She was fortunate enough to have many friends who have all been great support to her and her family through the hard times she experienced as a result of her chronic illness.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 19, 2000 at 3 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. All of her friends and family are encouraged to attend.
