ALICE MARIE BIRD BAGLEY
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Alice Bagley, 86, returned to her loving Heavenly Father on Friday, October 27, 1995.
Born December 6, 1909, in Teton, Idaho, to Alfred James Bird and Elizabeth Owen Bird. Married Earl E. Bagley in the Logan LDS Temple on July 20, 1932. She resided in Salt Lake City since 1965.
Alice was the oldest of 11 children and helped her mother with the household and the younger children from the time she was very young. She was a loving mother to her own children and taught them to be kind and nurturing. She was always there and never too busy to listen to and help her children and others. She had an unconditional love and had a way of making those around her feel comfortable. She displayed much strength when she stayed at home alone with three small children while her husband served in the Navy for three years during World War II.
Alice loved to sew and was accomplished in many kinds of needlework. She loved to read and do genealogy work. She held many church positions, mostly working with young children whom she loved. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
Alice's family was always most important in her life and we are all truly grateful for her kind, gentle and loving spirit.
Surviving are her five children and their spouses, Dean (Coene) Bagley, Mrs. Earlene (James) McIntosh, Mrs. Bonnie (Stanton) Anderson, Mrs. Lorna (Arnie) Sielhorst, Brent (Diann) Bagley; 28 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Randie and G.C. "Chub"; and two sisters, Lucile Foster and Anola Landis.
Preceded in death by husband Earl E. Bagley; grandson, Robert McIntosh; two brothers, Victor and Elbert; and four sisters, Roxie Murri, Cybil, Alphea Whitmore and Velda.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 1, 1995, at 12 noon in the Emerson LDS Chapel, 1621 South 1100 East. Friends may call at the church prior to the services from 10:30-11:45 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates. Funeral directors, Russon Brothers.
