NOTE: Since Bagley is not on her headstone, I have changed her last name to Mott but linked her to her second husband.

Barbara (Bobbie) Rae Mott Bagley, our beloved wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend passed away Oct. 8, in Vernal, at the age of 89. Barbara was born in Duchesne, Sept. 23, 1927, to Abram Hatch and Ella Elizabeth Meadows. She was the second of five children. She grew up on a ranch in Willow Creek, attended school through eighth grade in a one room schoolhouse, later attended high school in Altera and Vernal.

She loved being crowned rodeo queen in her youth. She married Warren Denzil Mott Jan. 22, 1947, in the Salt Lake Temple. They had two sons, nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Together they served in the Colorado, Denver Mission as well as the Hawaii, Honolulu Mission.

They built and owned the Twin Cinema as well as El Diamante Reception Center. One of Barbara's greatest joys was owning Bobbie's Dress Shop for 21 years and traveling to Salt Lake City and Denver for the markets. She was part of the Utah Governor's Council for Women, sold real estate for Coldwell Banker Aspen Brook Realty in Vernal for 35 years and received many prestigious awards on both national, state and local levels. She loved serving in various church positions such as Young Women's president, as well as various positions in the Relief Society and Primary. She served for many years in the Vernal Temple.

Barbara later married Glenn R. Bagley Feb. 25, 2006, in St. George. They enjoyed dancing, entertaining and spending time with friends and family.

Barbara was a ray of light to all those around her. She was an individual who would do anything for her family. She had a love for life and enjoyed gardening, canning, entertaining, dancing, cooking and serving others.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn R. Bagley of St. George; her two sons, Dennis (Linda) Mott of Vernal and Randy (Pamela) Mott of Provo; seven grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Mott; her parents, Abe and Elizabeth Hatch; her sister, Betty Murray; brother, Lloyd Hatch, and two grandsons, Jordon Mott and Ryan Mott.

A celebration in honor of Barbara's life will be held on Thursday, Oct. 13, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1499 W. Hwy 40, Vernal, Utah 84078. A viewing will be held Wednesday Oct. 12, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral services at the church. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park.

The family would like to offer heartfelt thanks to the staff at both The Beehive Home and Uintah Basin Care Center. We are truly grateful for the excellent care, and the kindness you showed both us and Barbara in her final days here on this earth. www.blackburnvernalmortuary.com.
