Marjorie B. Adams, 72, of Coopers Mills died Sunday, January 27 at Country Manor Nursing Home.
Born in Hampton Falls, N.H. October 6, 1929, she was the daughter of Linwood A. Sr. and Rosetta (Kennerson) Bailey.
She attended Whitefield Plains Elementary Schools. In 1946, she married Tom Colpitt. She married Lee Adams in 1976 and they moved to Florida in 1989.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Colpitt Jr. of Whitefield and Kevin L. Colpitt of Edgecomb; four daughters, Alison Fay of Lakeland, Fla., Linda Vandelac of Sedro Woolley, Wash., Marjorie B. Dore of Somersworth, N.H., and Penny Fredette of Windsor; three stepsons, Lee Adams Jr. of Raymond, Daniel Adams of California, and Paul Ray Adams of Delaware; four brothers, Benjamin F. Bailey of Raymond, N.H., Linwood A. Bailey Jr. of Alna, Charles L. Bailey of Edgecomb, and Winthrop Bailey of Wiscasset; four sisters, Virginia Wright of Whitefield, Rosetta Burns of Alna, Ernestine Lincoln of Whitefield, and Marguerite Fairfield of Wiscasset; 21 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, January 30 at the Newcastle-Alna Baptist Church in Alna with Pastor Rick Newell officiating.
