Mrs. Florence Rose Bainbridge Allen, 64, of 616 Brooke Street, Newport News, died Thursday at home following a long illness.
She was a native of Newport News and was a member of St. Shephen's Episcopal Church and of Seaside Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, at Swannsboro, North Carolina.
Survivors include her husband, Samuel Jackson Allen; a daughter, Mrs. Clyde Livingston of Newport News; a brother, Albert William Bainbridge of Hampton; a sister, Mrs. Jennie Conwell of Pompano Beach, Florida; a grandson and a granddaughter.
S funeral service for Florence Allen were at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church by Reverend John R. Stanton.
Pallbearers were, J.S. Winborne, R.L. Mitchell, Grady Little, R.B. Forrest, Burley E. Miller and S.R. Hunnicutt.
Burial in the Peninsula Memorial Park.
